Your budget comes first

Borrowing Affordability Calculator

At Secured Equity Title Pawn, we want to help you avoid taking out a title pawn that could make financial difficulties worse. If you cannot repay, your vehicle could be repossessed, and we want to help you avoid that outcome. Please spend a few minutes using this calculator to consider whether a title pawn fits your budget and is a good choice for your situation before applying.

Vehicle value alone does not tell you what you can repay. Explore whether one full payment in 30 days could fit your budget.

Plan the next 30 days

Day 0 is the day you would receive funds; day 30 is the full-payment due date. Enter take-home income only when it will actually be available. Do not count this new loan, credit limits, uncertain income or money already included in starting cash. Include every essential expense and existing debt payment due through day 30. Reserve a cushion for emergencies and needs after day 30.

For repeated bills or paychecks, add a separate entry for each day. Enter zero where a category does not apply. On the same day, expenses are counted before income, conservatively. Split food and other ongoing costs across the days you will need them.

1. Starting cash and safety cushion

Use only cash you can access, excluding the proposed loan. Cash already set aside for a bill must also appear as an expense below.

2. Income timing
3. Essential expenses and existing debt

Include housing, food, utilities, transport, health, childcare, insurance and all existing debt payments. Avoid counting the same expense twice. Include any upfront borrowing fees here on day 0; the fee field below is for charges payable at maturity only.

4. Illustrative borrowing cost

No SETP price is assumed or quoted here. Use a 30-day percentage charge and mandatory fees from written terms, or try hypothetical values. This model assumes the full principal is received and the principal, percentage charge and maturity fees are paid together on day 30. It does not model financed or withheld fees, weekly installments, renewals, late charges or default costs. If your terms differ, do not use this result to assess them.

Zero charges are used only when you explicitly enter zero. Missing prices never default to free borrowing. All amounts are in US dollars; percentage charges round up to the next cent for this conservative illustration. Review actual APR, all fees and total repayment in your written disclosures.

Nothing is automatically added to an application. If you proceed, staff can confirm completion and ask you to provide the summary through the secure application process for retention and review. Staff must separately complete all required underwriting and compliance checks. A saved summary is not proof of verified affordability.
